Vidalia Onion-Cheese Dip
A great dip for family events or tailgating.
ingredients
- 3 large Vidalia onions or other sweet onions, coarsely chopped
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mayonaise
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced

Saute onion in butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until tender.

Combine onion, cheese, and remaining ingredients; stir well. Pour into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole.

Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden. Serve with assorted crackers.
