Corn Soufflé
ingredients
- 6 tbsp unsalted Butter
- 1 lge onion diced
- 1 ham steak diced
- 1 lge green pepper diced
- 2 cans of corn
- 2 cans of cream of corn
- 1 can of evaporated milk
- 2 tbsp of flour
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 8 slices of american cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp creole seasonning
directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Butter a casserole pan and set aside. Melt 4 tbsp butter, add onions, ham and green pepper. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and creole seasonning. Sauté until soft. Add corn and cream of corn, bring to gentle boil. Add milk, reserving 1/4 cup . Mix 1/4 cup of milk with flour until there is no lumps. Add flour and milk mixture to pot, bring to a boil, turning constantly. Add slices of cheese and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese, stir and bring to a gentle boil. Pour in casserole pan. Sprikle remaining parmesan cheese on top. Cut remaining 2 tbsp of butter into small pieces and put on top on corn. Put in the oven for 35-45 min . Remove and serve warm.
