• Cookies:
• 1/2 c shortening (Crisco)
• 1/2 c butter
• 1/2c brown sugar
• 2 egg yolks
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 c flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 egg whites
• 1 1/2 c finely chopped nuts
• Icing:
• 1 stick butter
• splash of milk
• bag of powdered sugar
• food coloring or powdered baking cocoa
