ingredients

  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 cups sweet potatoes
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • dash salt
Topping
  • 1 medium can crushed pineapple
  • 1 small fruit cocktail
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

directions

  • 1

    Whip ingredients for base thoroughly with mixer. When smooth and creamy, pour into Pyrex or baking pan.

  • 2

    For topping, melt butter and cream into flour, sugar, pineapple, fruit cocktail, eggs, milk, and nuts.

  • 3

    Pour over potato mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
