Jean's Bourbon Hotdogs

ingredients

  • 3 package hotdogs (wieners) sliced 1/2“ to 1” thick (can also use cocktail wieners or little smokies)
  • 1/2 cup tomato catsup
  • 1-Tablespoon onion chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups to 2 cups bourbon
  • 1 Cup brown sugar
  • 2 Bottles Chili sauce.

    Mix everything except wieners together. Simmer 3 hours. Add 1/2 bourbon while simmering; Remove from heat, cool. Marinate wieners in sauce in refrigerator over night.

    Add rest of bourbon and heat right before ready to serve. Mix well and serve hot in chafing dish
