Homemade Soup
ingredients
- 1 – 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
- 1 onion diced
- 3 cans petite diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 potatoes peeled & diced
- 1 or 2 cans white corn
- 1 or 2 cans peas (crowder, field, blackeye or lima)
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup Stars macaroni or (abc macaroni)
- 1 package dry minestrone or vegetable soup mix
- 2 to 3 beef bouillon cubes
- Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, celery salt or
- Seasoned salt to taste.

In a Large Soup Pot, brown ground beef, onion & Worcestershire sauce. Add tomatoes, sauce & 6 – 8 cups water. Bring to a boil. Add potatoes, seasonings & bouillon. Let boil for about 20 mins.

Add 1 at a time corn & peas. (I usually heat up corn & peas in microwave so that soup will continue a steady boil.. Add soup mix & macaroni.

Stir a lot & continue to cook 30 to 45 mins. Toward the end, lower the heat a little…Add more cups of hot water as needed. This is not a “SET” recipe and can be adjusted to taste. Also, great for storing in smaller containers in the freezer for a quick meal later.
