Low-Fat Vanilla Ice Cream
ingredients
- 4 cups fat free milk
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 4 cups whole milk
directions
Combine fat free milk, beaten eggs, sugar, and salt in a heavy saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until custard thickens and coats a metal spoon with a think film. Remove from heat and chill. Add vanilla extract and whole milk. Pour the mixture into a canister of an ice cream freezer and freeze until it becomes a solid form.
