Grits

ingredients
- 2 c. water
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup quick cooking grits (not instant)
- 4 T. butter
directions
In small saucepan, bring water, milk and salt to a boil. Slowly stir in grits. Stir continuously until thoroughly mixed. Let the pot return to a boil, cover and lower the temperature. Cook for approx. 30 min, stirring occasionally. Stir in butter - and cheddar cheese if desired.
