Sausage Mushroom Quiche
ingredients
- 1/2 lb. bulk Italian sausage, cooked and drained
- 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 1-4 oz. can mushrooms, drained
- 1/4 c. finely chopped red pepper
- 1 Tbsp. dried minced onion
- 1 frozen deep dish pastry shell
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups half and half
- 1/2 tsp. ground mustard
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
directions
In a bowl, combine sausage, cheese, mushrooms, red pepper and onion; sprinkle into pastry shell. Combine eggs, cream, mustard, salt, pepper; pour over sausage mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
