Apple Cake
ingredients

- 1 1/2 Cups Vegetable Oil
- 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 2 Tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 Tsp. Baking Soda
- 1/2 Tsp. Nutmeg
- 1/2 Tsp. Salt
- 3 1/2 Cups (2 Pounds) Peeled Tart Apples
- 1 Cup Chopped Pecans (Optional)
- TOPPING
- 6 TB Butter
- 6 TB Brown Sugar
- 6 TB Sugar
- 6 TB Whipped Cream
- 1/2 Tsp. Vanilla

Preheat Oven to 375 degrees. Grease and Flour 10-inch tube pan.

Combine oil and sugars in large bowl and blend well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

Sift together dry ingredients and add to wet mixture. Fold in apples, nuts and vanilla.

Spoon into pan, spreading evenly. bake until cake is done, about 1 hour 45 minutes. Let cool 20 minutes in pan. Remove from Pan and cool on wire rack.

Before serving prepare topping. Combine all ingredients and bring top boil mover medium heat. Let boil 1 minute.

Spoon topping over warm cake to serve.
