Cathy's Tex Mex Dip

ingredients

  • 3 medium size ripe avocados
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 c (8 oz.) sour cream
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 2 cans Frito Lay bean dip (1 plain bean and 1 jalapeno flavored) each 10 1/2 oz.
  • 1 lg bunch green onions, chopped with tops
  • 3 medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped
  • 2 3 1/2 oz. cans pitted ripe olives, drained and chopped
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Large round tortilla chips

    Peel pit and mash avocados in a medium size bowl. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper. Set aside.

    Combine sour cream,mayo, and taco seasoning. Mix in a small bowl. Set aside.

    In a glass dish (about 9x13) layer both bean dips, avocado mixture, sour cream mixture, chopped onions, tomatoes, olives, cheese.

    Serve chilled with tortilla chips
