Molasses Krinkles
They taste just like the molasses cookies that Mom loved to buy at Fly Creek Cider Mill.
ingredients
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 2 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. cloves
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1 t. ginger

Preheat oven to 375°.

Cream together shortening and brown sugar till light and fluffy. Add egg and molasses. Mix well. Add flour,and the remaining ingredients and mix till well blended.

Roll into balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place on slightly greased cookie sheets. Sprinkle with a few drops of water.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.
