Kenton's Cranberries
Homemade Cranberry Sauce
ingredients
- 1 bag of fresh cranberries
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of Water

Wash and pick over cranberries. In a saucepan bring water and sugar to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.

Add cranberries, return to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes or until cranberries burst.

Remove from heat. Cool completely at room temperature. Serve slightly warm or chill in refrigerator.

Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.

Cranberry sauce base makes 2 1/4 cups.

Mom's 2nd Graders always had a Thanksgiving Feast at Cambridge Heights. They made homemade butter and cranberry sauce. Kenton learned hoe to make it and has been the official Tidwell cranberry sauce maker ever since that first batch!
