Stovetop Apple Crisp
Easy comfort food!
ingredients
- Topping:
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/3 cup rolled oats, not instant
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- pinch of salt
- Apples:
- 2 crisp tart apples, sliced (4 cups)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp sugat
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt

Melt 3 tbsp butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in nuts, oats, brown sugar, and salt and cook until mixture begins to brown - about 5-6 minutes. Transfer to a parchment lined plate.

Wipe pan.

Sauté apples in 2 tbsp butter over medium heat to soften, 5 minutes. Stir in sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Simmer 2 minutes.

Serve apples with crunchy topping and some whipped cream.
