Parmesan Vegetable Toss
ingredients
- 4 cups broccoli
- 4 cups cauliflower
- 1 large sweet onion
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1# bacon, cooked & crumbled
- 1 large head lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
- 2 cups seasoned croutons
- 8 oz sliced water chestnuts, drained

In large bowl, break broccoli and cauliflower into bite-size pieces. Slice onion and add.

In small bowl, mix sugar, cheese, salt, basil and mayonnaise. Mix well and toss with vegetables. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.

Just before serving, add bacon, lettuce, croutons and water chestnuts. Toss lightly.

This salad is best when prepared either the night before or several hours ahead of time.
