Bacon Roll-ups
Grandmother Davis was one of the best cooks in town. Mom learned a lot from her... but just didn’t “retain” as much as we all wished she did...
ingredients
- 1/4 cup oleo
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/2 pkg herb seasoned stuffing
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 pound sausage
- 1/2 to 2/3 pounds sliced bacon
directions

Melt oleo in water in saucepan. Remove from heat.

Stir in stuffing, then add egg and sausage. Blend together well.

Chill 1 hour.

Shape into size of pecans.

Cut bacon strips into thirds. Wrap one piece around dressing mix and fasten with a toothpick.

Place on rack in shallow pan and bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes or until brown and crisp, turning half-way point in cooking.

Drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
notes
May be mixed the day before serving. Can be frozen.
