Nainamo Bars
Brownie crust with a chocolate icing, very yummy and rich.
ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 1/2 c butter
- 1 1/2 c sugar, brown or white
- 5 Tb cocoa
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c graham crackers, ground
- 1 c chopped walnuts
- Icing:
- 2 c Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 c soft butter
- 2 Tb milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 4 oz semi sweet chocolate

For the crust, place butter, sugar, cocoa,vanilla into a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Add the egg and mix well. Remove from heat, stir in graham cracker crumbs, and nuts. Press into a 9x12 pan (may use parchment paper to line the pan, greased) and refrigerate until cold.

For the icing, combine all the ingredients, except chocolate. Beat well. Spread over the cooled crust, and refrigerate until chilled.

Melt the semisweet chocolate in a double boiler, drizzle over the icing. Again, refrigerate until chilled.
