Minced Meat Lettuce Wraps
This is a fairly new dish. It is of Asian decent, but it is one of my healthy favorites.
ingredients
- 2 tbs. peanut oil
- 1 lb ground chicken, pork or beef
- 8 scallions, minced
- 2 tsp. corn starch
- 2/3 cups water chestnuts, chopped
- 3 tbs. soy sauce
- 1 tbs. grated fresh ginger
- 1 tbs. oyster sauce
- 1 lg. head butter lettuce, leaves separated

Warm the oil in a skillet or work over medium-high heat. add the meet, scallions and corn starch and cook, stirring constantly until meat is cooked and broken into small pieces about 4 minutes. Add water chestnuts, soy sauce, oyster sauce, ginger and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat.

To Serve:

Take 1 lettuce leaf at a time and spoon a heaping tbs. of meat mixture into center. Wrap the lettuce around filling.

Serve on a platter.
