Superbowl Chili
ingredients
- 2 lb. lean ground beef or shredded beef
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 2 medium onions
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped.
- 1 28- oz. can whole tomatoes
- 1 12-oz can beer
- 1 16 oz. can V-8 juice
- 5 Tbsp. chili powder (or more)
- several cans of black beans/kidney beans
- 1 Tbsp. cumin
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. sugar (to taste)
- 6 oz. tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp. oregano
- 1 green pepper
- Several potatoes
- Several cans black beans/kidney beans

Brown beef with onions and garlic.
- 2
Stir in remaining ingredients except potatoes. Bring to boil over medium high heat. Simmer, uncovered, for approximately 1 hour.

Boil potatoes separately and add to finished chili.

Serve with sour cream and avocados.
notes
Can also prepare without potatoes; put 3 layers of filo dough in soup bowls, fill with Chili. Top chili with shredded cheddar cheese and cover with loose filo. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
