Easy Baked Chicken Breasts in Wine
Grandmother and PaPaw had lots of crazy sayings... the all-time favorite was “I’ll slap yo jaws”. I can hear her yelling for PaPaw... James!!! She also used the word “Foot” alot...
ingredients
- 8 to 10 chicken breasts
- 2 slices bacon, but into 16 to 20 pieces
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 (10 3/4oz.) cans condensed golden mushroom soup
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup cooking sherry
- 1/2 Tsp. accent
- 1 1 3/8oz.) envelope onion soup mix

Cut chicken breasts in half.

Place one piece of bacon under skin of each half of chicken breast.

Line an 18x12x1 inch roasting pan with foil.

Combine Worcestershire sauce and soup in a medium bowl. Heat margarine in sauce pan, stir in 1/4th of mushroom soup mixture and place skin side up in pan.

Pour sherry over chicken, sprinkle with accent.

Spoon remaining mushroom soup mixture over chicken and sprinkle with onion soup mix. Bake at 375 degrees for one hour, basting once.
