Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Butternut Frosting
ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c butter
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. cocoa powder
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Icing
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. cocoa powder
- 1 c. walnuts, chopped
- 1 lb powder sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

For cake combine sugar, flour, salt set aside. In a sauce pan bring to a boil butter, water, cocoa, then remove from heat. Add flour mixture. Add sour cream, eggs and soda. Mix well. Batter will be very thin, pour into greased and lightly floured 15x10 jelly roll pan.

Bake 375 20-25 minutes, do not over bake. Ice while warm.

Icing for cake. In a sauce pan heat milk, butter, cocoa til bubbly. Add Nuts, powder sugar and vanilla. Spread over warm cake.
