APPLE CREAM PIE

ingredients

  • 9 inch Pie crust, unbaked
  • 4 med Cooking apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Whipping cream
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 egg Beaten
  • 3 Tbls Flour
  • 1 teas Cinnamon
  • 1 teas Vanilla
  • 1/4 teas Nutmeg
  • 1/8 teas Salt
  • 1/2 cup Pecans, chopped

    Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

    Line uncooked pie shell with apples.

    Mix together cream, sugar, egg, flour, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and salt, sirring well after each ingredient is added. Pour over apple slices. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then sprinkle top with chopped nuts.

    Reduced heat to 350 degrees. Bake until apples are tender, 40 - 45 minutes longer.
