Sauteed Green Beans

ingredients

  • 1 T. butter
  • 1 T. minced garlic
  • 1 t. fresh thyme
  • 1 t. olive oil
  • 1 pound green beans, ends snapped, cut into 2" pieces
  • Table salt and ground black pepper
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 t. lemon juice
  • 1 T. fresh parsley

directions

Combine butter, garlic and thyme in a small bowl; set aside. Heat oil in 12" skillet. Add beans, 1/4 t. salt, 1/8 t. pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, 4-6 minutes. Add water, cover and cook about 2 minutes. Remove cover, turn heat to high, and cook 1 minute. Add butter mixture and cook 1-3 minutes more.Transfer beans to a serving bowl. Toss with lemon juice and parsley; add salt and pepper as needed.
