Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Actually healthy and kids can’t tell!
ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp cider or white vinegar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 3/4 cups white whole wheat flour
- 1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
- 3 cups chocolate chips (or a mixture of chips nuts, dried fruit)

Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease two baking sheets

In large bowl, beat together butter, shortening, sugars, vanilla, salt and vinegar. Beat in egg, then baking soda, flour and oats. finally stir in chips/nuts etc.

Drop by Tbsp only baking sheets. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until golden. For softer cookies bake the shorter amount of time. Remove from oven and cool on a rack
