Grandma Nin's Strawberry Sherbet
One of Eytan’s two favorite desserts!
ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 3/4 cup water
- 1 pint of pureed strawberries
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
directions

Combine sugar and water in pan, bring to simmer over moderate heat, stirring only until sugar has dissolved. Simmer 5 minutes. Cool slightly.

Combine pureed strawberries, 1/4 cup sugar, lemon juice, and sugared syrup.

Pour into container and freeze

When frozen, scoop sherbet into food processor, blend until soft and light in color, then freeze.
