Special Roll-Out Sugar Cookies

The optional almond extract really adds something difference to these cookies. Make them once and you will never buy store bought sugar cookie dough again!
ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 t salt
- 1 1/2 t baking powder
- 2 t vanilla extract
- 1/2 t almond extract (optional)
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or sour cream (I used heavy cream)
- 3 T cornstarch
- 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
