This is a simple dish that is loaded with flavor! And all the credit goes to Pam for introducing this to me. This is best when served over rice.

servings:Makes 4-6 servings


  • 2 T oil (vegetable or olive)
  • 3 lbs chicken (on the bone with skin)
  • 1 med yellow onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 c water
  • 2 c low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 c white vinegar
  • 2 bay leaves
