Carmalized Apple Clafoutis
Holy Yum!
ingredients
- 6 Medium Apples
- 2 T Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 Cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 t baking powder
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 4 eggs, beaten lightly
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2/3 cup condensed milk, or cream if you’re feeling decadent
- 2 T unsalted butter, melted, extra
- 1 t. vanilla

Preheat oven to 400. Grease an ovenproof dish - a pie dish works.

Peel, core, and half apples, cut each into 4 wedges. Melt butter in large frying pan; cook apple, stirring, about 5 minutes till browned lightly. Add brown sugar; cook, stirring, about 5 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly. Place apple mixture into prepared dish; cool 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine sugar and flour in medium bowl; make well in center. Gradually whisk in combined remaining ingredients until smooth. Pour batter over apple mixture; bake, uncovered, about 40 minutes.

Serve hot with ice cream! Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
