Beef Broccoli Lo Mein
This is much better (and healthier) than anything at the Chinese restaurants around here....
ingredients
- 4 c hot cooked spaghetti (8 oz uncooked)
- 1 t sesame oil
- 1 T peanut oil
- 1 T minced fresh ginger
- 4 minced garlic cloves
- 3 c chopped broccoli
- 1 1/2 c vertically sliced onion
- 1 flank steak, trimmed and cut across grain into long thin strips
- 3 T soy sauce
- 2 T brown sugar
- 1 T oyster sauce (look in Asian section)
- 1 T chile paste with garlic (look in Asian section)

Combine pasta and sesame oil, tossing well to coat.

Heat peanut oil in skillet over med-high. Add ginger and garlic, sauté 30 sec. Add broccoli and onion, sauté 3 more min. Add steak and sauté 5 min or until done.

Add pasta mixture, soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce and chile paste; cook 1 minute or until heated through, stirring.
