A very hearty and meaty soup. (guy’s love it)

ingredients

  • 2 tblsp. butter
  • 1-2 mediun onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 lb. jimmy Jean sausage
  • 3 cans beef broth
  • 1 medium can tomato sauce
  • 1 large can diced tomatoes w/green chile’s
  • 1 cup diced potatoes with skin
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 can french-style beans
  • 1 cup dry red wine or water
  • 1 tblsp. parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • salt and pepper to taste

directions

In a large pot, melt butter; saute onions and garlic. Remove onions and garlic from pot, set aside; fry ground beef and sausage, and drain grease. Add all ingredients meat; bring to a boil; reduce to simmer; cook until veggies are done, about an hour. season to taste.
