These hot wings are the best I have ever tasted, and light years better than any I have ever prepared before I found this recipe. Serve them for Super Bowl or any other time.

ingredients

  • Vegetable oil, for deep frying
  • 4-5 pounds chicken wings, wing tips removed, rinsed and patted dry with paper towels
  • 1/2 cup sriracha chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup Crystal Hot Sauce
  • 8 ounces butter, melted
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce (see recipe under “Everything Else”)
  • 4 ounces blue cheese
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Celery sticks

notes

We like to separate the wings into 2 pieces after removing the wing tips. You can buy them already cut in the frozen food section. Just be sure to thaw the wings before frying if you are using the frozen product. Keep the oil hot when frying.
