Macaroni Cheese and Meat
The ultimate comfort food from the Vosnos kitchen.
ingredients
- 7 oz elbow noodles, cooked with salt
- 16 oz cottage cheese
- 16 oz sour cream
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 can water
- oregano
- garlic powder
- Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1-2 cups grated cheddar cheese

Preheat oven at 350 degrees, grease 9x13 pan.

In medium bowl, mix cooked noodles with cottage cheese and sour cream and layer in the bottom of pan.

Saute’ together the ground beef and onion, drain fat. Add tomato paste, water and seasonings. Simmer until thickened 15-20 minutes, then layer over noodles.

Bake covered for 45 minutes. Add thick layer of grated cheddar cheese and bake uncovered until cheese melts (about 15 minutes).
