ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian Sausage (brown & skim off fat)
  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 T basil
  • 1 1/2 t salt
  • 1 large can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 6oz. cans tomato paste
  • 1 10oz. pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 2 12oz. cartons large curd cottage cheese
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 2 T parsley flakes
  • 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb mozzarella cheese (sliced)

    Use 9 X 13 X 2 baking dish

    layer noodles

  • 3

    cottage cheese mixture

  • 4

    layer sliced cheese

  • 5

    layer meat mixture

  • 6

    Repeat layers

  • 7

    Bake at 350 for one hour

notes

Fry the sausage and beef in separate pans and then combine them. Can get rid of all the fat.
