Grilled Shrimp
These are so good, I make them for almost every dinner party we have! Jon tends to leave them on too long - be careful.
ingredients
- 2 lbs peeled and deveined raw shrimp (tails on)
- 3 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 1/2 t salt
- Black pepper
- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 3 T grainy mustard
- 1/4 c cider vinegar
- Juice of 1 lime
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 6 T olive oil

The night before, place shrimp in shallow bowl. Mix all else, oil whisked in last, and pour this over shrimp. Refrigerate overnight, turning once if you remember.

Bring to room temperature before grilling. Thread shrimp onto metal skewers.

Grill 2-3 minutes per side or until they are just opaque.

The original recipe requires that this marinate overnight -- although, honestly, the more often I make it, the less I think that's necessary. 6 hours ought to be fine.
