Alexa's Favorite Chili
ingredients
- Nick Fowler’s “False Alarm” chili kit (available at supermarket)
- 1 pound 85% lean ground beef
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2 8 ounce cans of tomato sauce
- 8 ounces water
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 large can corn kernels, drained
- small can green chili peppers
- 1 can light red kidney beans, drained
- 1/2 pound ditalini pasta, cooked

Brown the beef and turkey in a large pan with about 3 tablspoons of olive oil. Drain off the fat.

In large stockpot, combine the meat, chili kit spices (except the masa harina), chili peppers, tomato sauce, water, diced tomatoes, tomato paste,beans, and corn. Cover and bring to boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.

Combine masa harina with 1/4 warm water, and add it to the chili. Add the cooked ditalini pasta. Continue simmering chili for another 15-20 minutes.

Add as little or as much Frank’s Red Hot Sauce as desired. Freezes well and tastes even better the next day!
