Restaurant-style Salsa
A salsa similar to Chili’s. Great for fresh, warm tortilla chips.
ingredients
- 4 t. jalapenos (canned, diced, not pickled)
- 1/4 c. chopped yellow onion
- 3/4 t. garlic salt
- 1/2 t. cumin
- 1/4 t. sugar
- 28 oz. tomatoes (or half tomatoes with chilis)
- 1 T. lemon juice (as desired)
- fresh chopped cilantro
- salt/pepper

In food processor place jalapenos and onions. Process for just a few seconds.

Add can(s) of tomatoes, salt, sugar, and cumin. Add lemon, cilantro, salt and pepper to taste.

Process all ingredients until well blended but do not puree.

Place in covered container and chill.

A couple of hours of chilling will help blend and enrich the flavor.

Serve with your favorite thin corn tortilla chips.
