Lasagne
ingredients
- 1 lb. lasagna noodles, cooked & rinsed
- 1 lb. ricotta cheese
- 1 lb. mozzarella, grated
- 1 C. Parmesan
- chopped parsley
- Sauce:
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 lb. italian sausage
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 (16 oz) cans tomato puree
- 1 12 oz. can tomato puree
- 3 paste cans water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 2 T. sugar
directions
Brown sausage and beef in skillet. Drain. Add onion and garlic. Saute. Add puree, paste, water and seasonings. Stir and simmer the sauce for about 2 hours. Grease a 9 x 13 pan. Spread with a layer of sauce. Add layers of noodles, ricotta, mozzarella and cover with sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Repeat layers, ending with sauce and parmesan. Bake in 350’ oven for 45 minutes. Let sit 15 minutes before cutting.
