General Tsao's Chicken
This version is much better for you than the fried version they serve at restaurants!
ingredients
- 3/4 Cup Chicken Broth
- 2 TBS Cornstarch
- 2 TBS Sugar
- 2 TBS Soy Sauce
- 1 TBS White Wine or Rice Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
- 2 tsp Peanut or Sesame Oil
- 2 Medium Scallions Chopped
- 2 Medium Garlic Cloves Minced
- 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Pound uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into pieces
- 2 Cup Cooked Rice kept warm
- 2 Cup Broccoli Florets, cooked and kept warm

In a medium bowl, whisk together broth, cornstarch, sugar, soy, vinegar & ginger. Set aside.

Heat oil in wok over medium high heat. Add scallions, garlic & pepper and cook 2 minutes. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add bowl of sauce and simmer until sauce thickens & chicken is cooked through, about 3 minutes.

Turn heat of, add broccoli, mix and serve over rice.
