Meringues
ingredients
- 2 Egg Whites
- 1/8 Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Cups Powdered Sugar, Sifted
- 1 Teaspoon White Vinegar
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 Cup Pecans
- 1/4 Cup Small Chocolate Chips
directions
In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites with salt until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar, vinegar, and vanilla. Continue beating until very stiff. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheets. Bake 300 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until firm. Cookies should not get brown, but remain light colored.
