CHOCOLATE AMARETTO CHEESECAKE
ingredients
- 1 C chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs
- 1 C coarsely ground toasted almonds
- 1/4 C margarine -- melted
- 2 C semisweet chocolate chips
- 4 8 oz pack cream cheese -- softened
- 1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 3 tbsp Ameretto
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 16 oz con sour cream
- 3 tbsp sugar
directions
Stir together the first 3 ingredients. Press firmly into bottom of 9 x 3 inch springform pan. Set aside.
Melt 1 3/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips in a small saucepan over low heat. set aside.
Beat cream cheese in a large mixing bowl until fluffy. Gradually add sweetened condensed milk,, beating until smooth. Add melted chocolate,eggs, and flavoring. Mix well. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes; reduce temperature to 225° and bake for 1 hour. Cool on a wire rack 5 minutes.
Combine sour cream and sugar. Spread evenly over cheesecake; bake 8 more minutes or until set. Cool completely.
Melt remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips. Drizzle over top. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight. Can decorate with strawberries dipped in more chocolate chips that have been melted with 1 tablespoon Crisco.
