ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups old-fashion rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1/2 cup chopped sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried sweet cherries
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

    2. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat; cook 5 minutes or lightly browned, stiring occasionally. Cool slightly.

    3. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl; stir well with a whisk.

    4. Place browned butter and sugars in a bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed until well blended.

    5. Add vanilla, egg, and egg white; beat well.

  • 6

    6. Add oats mixture; stir well to combine. Stir in cranberries, cherries and baking chips.

    7. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on pans 5 minutes. Remove from pans; cool on wire racks.
