Mashed Potatoes
These potatoes are worth the extra effort (versus potatoes from a box)and is a great addition to any meat dish.
ingredients
- 6 large potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter*
- 1/2 cup milk*
- salt and pepper to taste
- cheese (optional)
- sour cream (optional)
- bacon pieces (optional)
- garlic (optional)

Wash potatoes. Cut potatoes into 2-3 inches cubes. You can peel them, if so desired. Place potatoes in a large pot of boiling water. Boil until soft (approximately 10-15 minutes) over medium heat on stove. Drain.

To potatoes add, butter and milk. Mash with a fork or masher, or you can use a mixer to whip the potatoes. Add salt and pepper, cheese, sour cream, bacon, to your desired taste.

*These are variable depending on how smooth and moist you want your potatoes.
