ingredients

  • 4-5 lbs. of your favorite cut of pork (loin, shoulder, butt)
  • 2 tsp hickory liquid smoke
  • Sea salt or plain course Kosher salt
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1 diced yellow onion (completely optional, my addition to the original
  • recipe)

directions

  • 1

    Rub the meat with the liquid smoke and salt.

  • 2

    Place in the crock pot and pour the 2 cups of cider over the meat.

  • 3

    Cook, shred with 2 forks and serve with sweet Hawaiian bread, fresh

  • 4

    pineapple and/or over white rice.
