Roast Dinner

This is one of Joey’s favorite dinners at Grama and Grampa’s house.

ingredients

  • Approx. 3 1/2 to 4 lbs. of “Rump Roast” or whatever roast you want with as little fat on it as possible. Any excess fat, cut off.
  • 2 cans Condensed Cream of Mushroom soup
  • 1 Packet of Lipton dried Onion soup

directions

    Sear the roast in a big frying pan, slightly browning all sides

  • 2

    Then put in a roaster or put roast in roasting pan that has a good lid.

    In a large bowl, put two cans condensed cream of muschroom soup

  • 4

    (Do not add water)

  • 5

    Add 1 packet of Lipton dried Onion soup. (There are 2 to a box).

    Add another can o condensed Cream of Mushroom soup.

    Mix the combination real well, dump the mixture all over covering the roast

  • 8

    Put the lid on solidly, so no steam escapes.

    Put in oven at 350 degrees for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

    When done, remove roast for cutting.

    Stir the gravy, so its ready to serve over mashed motatoes, with corn or some other steamed frozen vegetable.
