My Basic Ground Beef Mixture

Use this recipe for meatballs,meatloaf,stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls.

ingredients

  • l lb. ground beef
  • l lb. ground turkey
  • l large onion,chopped small
  • l/2 green pepper,chopped small
  • l cup rice
  • l clove garlic,minced
  • l small tomato,chopped small
  • l T. salt and pepper
  • l egg
  • Sause:
  • 1 medium onion,chopped
  • l clove garlic,chopped
  • l can of tomatoe sauce
  • l can of diced tomatoes
  • 2 T. kechup
  • l T. oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • hot pepper flakes

    Mix all ingredients in a large bowl up till the sauce. You can add a little bread crumbs if you think it is too loose.

    Use green pepper cups, cabbage, acorn squash, whatever and salt insides. Fill to top and place in sause and bake for one hour.

    Or in presure cooker 20 minutes.

    Now: when you make meatloaf use Panko bread crumbs instead of rice and add a few shakes of worchestershire sauce to both meatloaf and sauce.

    Then: when you make cabbage rolls, steam the large leafs of the cabbage for one minute or until workable. Roll tight and stick with a toothpick.

    Bake on 350 for 50 minutes for meatloaf. Cabbage and peppers I cook on the stove in the sauce for about 40 minutes.

Roll meatballs in Panko bread crumbs and brown on all sides first. Add sauce and simmer for 50 minutes.
