Charlotte Tanaka's Pumpkin Pie

Light, creamy and definitely an old-fashioned pumpkin pie

  • 1 pre-baked pie shell (See recipe for Pate Sucree)
  • 3 eggs
  • 15 oz pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 c cream
  • dash of vanilla
  • 1/2 c light brown sugar
  • 1 t cinnamon, ground
  • 1 t ginger, ground
  • 1/4 t nutmeg, ground
  • 1/8 t cloves, ground
  • 1/2 t salt
Save a shopping List


Preheat oven to 375*. Combine cream and eggs. Blend well. Add cream, brown sugar, spices and salt.

Pour into pre-baked pie shell and bake for 45-55 minutes.

Serve with maple whipped cream...1 c Cream and 1 1/2 T Maple Syrup... whipped to a soft peak.
