Bacon Wrapped Chicken

ingredients

  • 12 boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 (8 oz.) cartons chive and onion cream cheese
  • 2 T. butter
  • salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste
  • 12 slices bacon

directions

Pound chicken to 1/2 inch thickness. Spread 2 T cream cheese over each chicken piece. Dot with butter and sprinkle with salt. Roll up and wrap each with a slice of bacon. Secure with toothpick if necessary. Place, seam side down, in a greased pan. Bake uncovered at 400* for 30-35 minutes or until juices run clear. Broil 6 inches from heat for 5 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

If making these ahead for future use, freeze these uncooked on a cookie sheet in freezer. When solid, wrap and put in a zip lock bag. To cook from frozen, thaw completely in refrigerator and follow same cooking instructions.
