ingredients

  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 small green pepper, minced
  • 1 1/2 T. oil
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 c. cooked tomatoes
  • 1/4 c. uncooked rice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • salt
  • pepper

directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Saute onions and green pepper in hot fat until yellow. Add ground beef and fry until mixture falls apart. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pout into 1 quart baking dish. Cover and bake 1 hour, removing cover last 15 minutes.

Great for those cold winter nights. This recipe came from Grandma West! Shirley still makes this today. A favorite of Todd and Troy's and now one of dad's.
