Mutter Paneer
menal’s mom’s amazing recipe.
ingredients
- 4 green chilies
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic
- 1 small onion
- 1 bunch spring onion
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 handful fresh cilantro
- 2 cups peas
- 4 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons milk
- paneer
- 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
- haldi (turmeric)
- 1/2 teaspoon jeera (ground cumin)
- 1 teaspoon danya (ground, dried cilantro)
- 1/2 teaspoon mirchi (red chili powder)
- 1/2 teaspoon amchur (mango powder
directions

chop the following:

add chopped ingredients into a pan of 3 tablespoons heated oil (heating at high heat)

cook until onions are translucent (stir regularly)

chop 4 tomatoes and a handful of fresh cilantro

when oil mixture is bubbling, add tomato/cilantro mixture

Add the following:

cover and turn heat down, cook for at least ten minutes

cook until liquid from tomatoes has dried up significantly

add peas, 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt (low-fat is fine), and a few tablespoons of milk to achieve desired consistency
