Ebi Chili
Perfect on white rice
ingredients
- Prawns
- 1 Tablespoon corn flour
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- Chopped ginger (roughly the same amount as the garlic)
- 1 Tablespoon Tobanjan (spicy soybean paste)*
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- 80 cc Chicken stock
- 2 Tablespoons ketchup
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons oyster sauce
- Prawns
- Substitute: miso base and spicy chili paste

Mix the Chicken Stock, Tomato Ketchup, Sugar, Soy Sauce and Oyster Sauce.

Clean the prawns, wash, season with salt and pepper and coat with the corn flour.

Heat a wok or frying pan at a medium heat, add the garlic, ginger, Tobanjan and prawns cooking until the prawns turn pink.

Add the sauce to the pan, simmer for 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.

If you like, add some white vinegar to taste.
